Investoblog is managed and edited by Andreas Schreyer and Garrett Beauvais, with the occasional help from guest contributors.

Andreas Schreyer

Founder and Editor of The Green Investor, Andreas is a longtime investor and student of the markets and has been a financial newsletter editor since 2003. At Fraser Partners, the publisher of the TimingCube investment service, he authored the acclaimed Trend Timing School editorials and the Weekly Updates. He continues as a partner at Fraser Partners and at MarketTrend Advisors, a full service S.E.C registered investment advisory firm.

In addition to his investment background, Andreas has over 30 years of experience in the high tech industry, from electronics, computer and software sectors. His career began in engineering (he has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Ecole Technique Superieure, Geneva, Switzerland). After some years in design engineering he moved to the product management and strategic planning disciplines, with positions of increasing responsibility for Fortune 500 corporations such as Motorola and Tandem Computers (later part of Compaq and now of Hewlett Packard). Andreas also served in executive management positions at a number of start-up companies such as Internet Dynamics and Globeset before moving to the financial investment newsletter sector.

Garrett Beauvais

Garrett Beauvais is a partner at MarketTrend Advisors, co-publisher of High Yield Trader, Muni Fund Investor, and a contributing editor to The Green Investor. Garrett serves as portfolio manager for MarketTrend’s core MTA Index, MTA World Index, and MTA Sector strategies, conducts stock and ETF research, and assists in the development of new portfolio strategies.

Garrett’s desire to help individual investors began as a teaching assistant for Personal Family Finance at the University of Texas at Austin where he taught undergraduate lessons in investing, personal tax preparation, and Texas Family Law.

Prior to his career as an investment advisor, Garrett developed strategic plans for N. American markets at Kyocera International and then held a variety of positions at Advanced Micro Devices where he directed global PC market and PC processor forecasting.

Garrett holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, a Series 65 license, and is a Registered Investment Advisor with the S.E.C. and the Texas State Securities Board.
